Yesterday (Sunday) I went to Kpadape while Jonas stayed to teach in Aneho. The service in Kpadape went very well. Koffi, the leader of Kpadape is up in Kara (where I grew up and where my dad runs the institute) where he is finishing his institute courses. The time in Kpadape consisted of a church service, measuring doorways for the steel doors to be welded, meeting with the men of the church, and planning to take out a few palm trees so we can play soccer at the church.
I do believe God will continue doing great things in and through the church in Kpadape. The village is slated to get electricity this year. It should drastically change the dynamic of the village. The young people will not move to cities when they finish school, land prices will go up, and people from the nearby cities will build their retirement homes in the village.
Last night we had Bible study at our home in Aneho. There were five guys that came and the discussion was extremely thought provoking. When it came time for prayer requests, one guy talked about how hard it is for him to pray at night. His neighbors all worship voodoo and black magic. They are extremely loud and he said it is hard for him to concentrate. Each person is growing at a different pace and learning different things. Rather busy day, but extremely exciting.
Well, it is Monday morning, so I am going to get busy.
