This morning I just finished reading David Platt's new book called "Radical". www.radicalthebook.com
I must say I truly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it. I am not one to endorse many books, but this one is well worth your time. It talks about how our goals should align themselves with God's goals instead of societies'. It has forced me to reevaluate my life decisions once again. It has also reminded me of the many people out there who are giving their all. It was both inspiring and encouraging.
In a few minutes Melissa and I will be headed up to the city of Vogan. It is a city of about 12,000 people about 30 minutes north of Aneho. We would like to plant a church their in the next three years. Ed, a Togolese born US citizen is coming back to Togo to see his family. They are having a big family get together and invited us to join them. It should be a great time catching up and meeting new people.
Tonight Jonas will finish his series on prayer in the Aneho church. I was planning to preach a series on finances next, but feel led to teach through the book of Nehemiah instead. As a young church, we need to stay focused on believing in the cause, working like it is up to us, praying like it is up to Him, and giving Him the glory when He is faithful.
Well, headed off to Vogan.
JJ
