Somdina Evangelistic Outreach

Melissa and I are back from Kara/Somdina. It was a very profitable time working with Moussa and the church in Somdina. We went out to the village on Thursday to play soccer and invite people for the following night. Throughout the afternoon, we were able to share Christ with about 40 people. Everyone had very good questions and decided to think about what they had been taught.
Friday night we showed the Jesus film in French and translated into Kabye. Jonas taught for 20 minutes and did a good job. 30 people placed their faith in Jesus.
Saturday night we showed "The Hope." It is a French film about creation all the way till Jesus. I taught from 2 Corinthians then Jonas led the invitation. 30 more people trusted Christ.
On Sunday morning there were many first time visitors and 14 people trusted Christ when Moussa preached. The church is working hard to begin discipling the young believers. Please pray for them as they have a young leader in the institute who is doing a great job.

I am currently in Ghana where I dropped my mom off at the airport. My grandfather has terminal cancer and does not have much longer. She is going back to take care of him. When Melissa and I get home, we will be watching a basketball tournament tomorrow. (Saturday) These are the guys in Aneho that we have been working with. I want them to know that we care.

We should have internet at our house in the next week or four. I know the satellite dishes are now in the country. We just have to convince them that we actually want one.
