Home in Aneho

Mel and I are excited to have moved into our home in Aneho. He have lots of work to do, but it is a nice feeling after being "homeless" for two months. We have spent the last two nights on mattresses on the floor. We do have a fan, so that helps us win the war against the mosquitos. We are working to put screens on the windows this week, which should be possible if the carpenter stays on schedule.

Our container arrived in port last Friday, but Monday and Friday of this week are both holidays. It should be out some time next week, God willing.  We are praying that the port authorities do not demand too high of taxes.

I got a call from my father a few days ago. Both of my parents are in the US for a few weeks. He went to see his doctor, and the tests showed that he has kidney cancer. The plan right now is to take one of the kidneys out next Wednesday. Please keep this in your prayers, as it is on our minds. I did tell all of the pastors here that he is sick, and every church took time in the services to pray for him.

This weekend Mel and I will be up in the church in Kpadape. I will be preaching the second sermon on the life of Joseph.

Well, I had better run because Mel is at the house in Aneho working and I drove about 1hr 20 min to get here. Thanks so much for your prayers and encouragement.
