This morning (Wednesday) we started the a.m. with red millet poreage and fried, unsweetened donuts. We left the pastor’s house about 9 a.m. and worked on sign-ups until 11 something. Since we had some free time, Jonas, Abraham, Essowe, and myself went into Kpalime to see a trade fare. It really turned out to be all the government businesses advertising. It was still nice to get into the city from the village for a few minutes.
Lunch was “paste” which is like a southern grits that is cooked really thick and a green leaf sauce. This is a typical lunch for most Togolese about 5-7 times a week. The only variable is the sauce. After lunch we kicked off the camp schedule with an hour of free time (soccer), a teaching session, and game time to end it. We had two younger campers trust Christ today. Great way to start off.Wednesday, August 11, 2010
